Job summary

Groupe Génitique seeks electrical engineering design technicians to work on hydroelectric plants and high/very high voltage substations. You’ll be mentored and coached by experts and can work in both office and on-site environments.

Qualifications

• Hold a college diploma in electrical engineering or related field (instrumentation, electrotechnics).
• 3 positions available with varying experience levels (0-2, 3-5, 5-10 years).
• Be curious with a real thirst for learning and development in hydroelectric power.
• Know the equipment in an electrical substation and basic wiring diagram rules.
• Advantage: familiarity with 2D/3D drawings, calculation books and installation quotes.
• Advantage: ability to assess costs and risks of electrical installations.
• Above all, be passionate about competence, autonomy, respect and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Design and support electrical systems for hydroelectric plants and substations.
• Collaborate with engineers on office and on-site design tasks.
• Assist in cost estimation, risk assessment and project quotes.
