Innovative Automation in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Lead to guide a team developing high-quality automation solutions. You will shape design standards, support project execution, and nurture talent within the team—collaborating closely with Engineering and Operations leadership.

This role offers a path to lead in a growing automation environment, influencing both technical direction and team development.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation and electrical design.
• Proficiency with EPLAN, AutoCAD and Edrawings.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Electrical Design team through daily prioritization, resource planning, and technical guidance.
• Drive design execution from concept through validation, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met.
• Mentor and develop team members, building technical capability and leadership bench strength.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Controls, and Operations to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements and project commitments on scope, schedule, and quality.

• Passion forbuilding robust, practical, buildable designs
• MinimumDegree or Diploma in Electrical Engineeringor Equivalent Specialized Experience
• Minimum5+ Years’ Experiencewithin the Automation or Automotive Manufacturing Field
• Preference given to candidate holdingPEO (Professional Engineers of Ontario)Designation
