Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer to design and deliver electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for large industrial mine ventilation and heating projects in Canada.

The role spans concept through commissioning, working with multidisciplinary teams and clients to provide safe, code-compliant solutions. You will develop designs, perform calculations, specify field devices, and produce detailed documentation while supporting risk

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
At least five years in industrial electrical design, process automation, controls, or instrumentation.
Hands-on experience developing PLC/HMI applications on major platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider).
Experience with AutoCAD, Electrical, EPLAN or similar tools.
Ability to interpret codes including Ontario Electrical Safety Code, CSA, NFPA, IEC.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical, control, and instrumentation designs for industrial ventilation and heating systems.
Prepare design deliverables: diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, I/O lists, BOMs.
Perform electrical calculations and equipment sizing.
Develop PLC/HMI/SCADA configurations and testing procedures.
Coordinate interfaces with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
