Job summary
Chart Industries in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer to design and deliver electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for large industrial mine ventilation and heating projects.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through commissioning, produce design deliverables, perform calculations, configure PLC/HMI/SCADA applications, and support field inspections and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
- At least five years of relevant industrial electrical design experience.
- Hands-on PLC/HMI/SCADA development on major platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical, control, and instrumentation designs for ventilation and heating systems.
- Produce diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, and I/O lists.
- Configure and test PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications for operations.
- Prepare material specs, bid evaluations and site support during commissioning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to deliver projects.
