Job description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial electrical systems, maintenance, and commissioning.

Job Function :

• Inspect, commission, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical, electronic and associated control systems and power circuits, power generating equipment and switchgear.
• Inspect, commission, troubleshoot, repair and maintain emergency electrical systems such as emergency power generators, emergency switchboards and lighting.
• Support commissioning of PLC data points; assist the vendors and others with the work scope for the day when requested or instructed.
• Participate in HAZOP, JHA, FLRA; Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Understand the need for and adherence to the Permit to Work and Lock-Out Tag Out procedures; follow safe working practices related to electrical lockout-tag out processes.
• Complete check sheets for all inspections and tests.
• Understand, interpret and work from various forms of project drawings such as SLD’s, Wiring Diagrams, schematics, etc.
• Run tests on motors, grounding checks, integrity checks on cable installations, insulation resistance testing, and Ductor testing on switchboards.
• Interact with Engineering and Operations teams for input and draw from past experience and knowledge when executing procedures.
• Work effectively in a team environment to ensure that the commissioning work integrates well with the overall project.
• Experience in relay testing and LOTO switching is an asset.

Job Requirement :

• Red Seal required; proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role in an offshore environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge to assist with integrated systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to offshore industry regulations.
