Job summary

AVL Manufacturing in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking an Electrical Assembler to assist the electrician and install industrial electrical equipment and associated controls based on drawings in a manufacturing environment.

You will follow drawings to complete installations, including wiring, switchgear, transformers, power panels and control systems, with emphasis on quality, safety, and timely delivery; travel within North America is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electrical Power Circuits.
• Experience using hand tools like wrenches, cable strippers and power tools.
• 3+ years of experience in Electrical Assembly within an Industrial Environment.
• Ability to travel within North America with a valid passport and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow drawings, blueprints and schematics to complete industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Install, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, network and coaxial cable assemblies, light fixtures and other electrical components.
• Install and connect switchgears, transformers, power distribution panels, batteries, and electrical control systems.
