Johnson Controls seeks an Electrical Apprentice to support installation, termination and assembly of electrical systems, including conduit, cabling, equipment and control devices under the supervision of a Journeyperson. This role includes panel fabrication and wiring verification in a manufacturing environment.
Based at Plant P11 (Nisku), you will work a 6 PM–5:30 AM schedule, collaborate with the Electrical team, adhere to safety policies, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

The Electrical Apprentice supports the installation,terminationand assembly of electrical systems, including conduit, cabling, equipment, panels,sensorsand control devices. This roleassists with the construction and fabrication of control panels and systems, including the installation of interlocking wiring and participation in wiring verification and checkout activities to ensure proper functionality, under the direction of a certified Journeyperson.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be registered as an Apprentice Electrician with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) and actively enrolled in an approved trade school program.
A minimum of 500 hours of electrical experience is required.
Previous work experience in an industrial,commercial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Working knowledge of electrical tools, materials and equipment used in manufacturing environments is an asset.
Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.
Required to work in a manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures and other production‑related hazards.
Required to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials and excessive noise levels in the workplace.
Must have the physical ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
Must have the ability to stand for extended periods throughout each shift.
Manual dexterity is required to effectively operate tools and equipment.
Overtime may be available occasionally based on operational needs.
Communication is primarily conducted within the assigned work team and with the Team Lead/Production Supervisor.
