Johnson Controls Canada is seeking an electrical design engineer to lead development of complex electrical layouts for OEM equipment, ensuring compliance with CEC/NEC/UL/CSA and aligning with QMS. You will work with mechanical teams to deliver production-ready drawings using PTC Creo 9, Windchill PLM, and SAP.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, with 2+ years in equipment design or DFM-focused roles.

Execute electrical designs using PTC Creo and EDE‑approved tools and workflows. Apply standardized electrical parts, installation methods, and documentation practices. Independently manage the electrical scope on projects with minimal supervision. Follow EDE processes for drawing release, document control, and revision management. Maintain clear, accurate, and well‑structured documentation to support production and service. Collaborate effectively in a multi‑discipline EDE environment.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000-$90,000 CAD (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, we recognize that exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile.
