Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Mississauga invites energetic EHS internship students to join a hands-on program. You will work on environmental, health and safety initiatives alongside a small site EH&S team and Training Coordinator, supporting waste reduction, safety audits, and compliance efforts.

You will gain exposure to capital project planning, data gathering, and records management for training. This role is on-site with a clear pathway to professional growth within the company’s EHS

Qualifications

• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
• Pursuing studies in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or Ergonomics program.
• The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate a commitment to EH&S as well as attention to detail for records management.
• Must be a team player complemented by strong individual initiative.
• Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental and safety initiatives for the site.
• Assist with data gathering, budgeting, scheduling and proposals for capital projects.
• Provide accurate records management for training courses in the plant.
• Collaborate with the Training Coordinator and plant staff.
• Attend and participate in committee meetings (sustainable factory, industrial hygiene, joint health and safety, change management).
• Learn to inspect, audit, and assess facility activities for compliance with local, provincial, and federal requirements.
