About the Role

Our Calgary Downtown office is currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Job Developer to join our team. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a positive impact, has a talent for building relationships, and is passionate about helping others succeed. You'll play a key part in delivering career development services while supporting clients in achieving their employment goals.

Qualifications for this Position:

·Post-secondary education in a related field

·Minimum 2 years of experience in job placement

·Experience with various types of client and employer recruitment strategies

·Strong understanding of the career planning process

·Able to navigate online job boards, conduct online labour market research, use email, word processing and database software (Microsoft and Google Workspace)

·Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building abilities

·Experience in interviewing and assessment tools

Job Requirements:

·Understand the needs of unemployed and underemployed clients who have moderate barriers to finding, obtaining, and maintaining employment

·Have an excellent working knowledge of the various community resources

·Strong knowledge of the local labour market with a thorough understanding of the construction industry.

·Recruitment, marketing, and job placement experience

·Understanding of government-funded programs, policies and guidelines

·Understanding of contract expectations

·Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

·Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment

·Access to a reliable Vehicle.

·Knowledge of the Government of Alberta’s Client Data Tracking and the Targeted Referral and Feedback (TRF) systems is an asset
