Our Calgary Downtown office is currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Job Developer to join our team. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a positive impact, has a talent for building relationships, and is passionate about helping others succeed. You’ll play a key part in delivering career development services while supporting clients in achieving their employment goals.

Qualifications for this Position:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in job placement
  • Experience with various types of client and employer recruitment strategies
  • Strong understanding of the career planning process
  • Able to navigate online job boards, conduct online labour market research, use email, word processing and database software (Microsoft and Google Workspace)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience in interviewing and assessment tools

Job Requirements:

  • Understand the needs of unemployed and underemployed clients who have moderate barriers to finding, obtaining, and maintaining employment
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of the various community resources
  • Strong knowledge of the local labour market with a thorough understanding of the construction industry.
  • Recruitment, marketing, and job placement experience
  • Understanding of government-funded programs, policies and guidelines
  • Understanding of contract expectations
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment
  • Access to a reliable Vehicle.
  • Knowledge of the Government of Alberta’s Client Data Tracking and the Targeted Referral and Feedback (TRF) systems is an asset
