Job description

Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US. We are currently hiring for a Business Strategy Transformation Lead for our global IT M&A client in the GTA.

Role: Business Strategy Transformation Lead

Type: Fulltime, Perm

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 as base depending on overall experience + bonus + project bonus + benefits + company stock plan. OTEs for this role are about 160-180k total compensation.

Location: Remote - Mississauga, ON, Canada

Job Description
What You'll Do:

You will collaborate with senior leadership across the organization, managing diverse projects including:

  • Market Assessment and Analysis: Conduct industry research, market analysis, and sizing to address business challenges, evaluate M&A targets, and support growth.
  • Value Creation and Transformation: Develop strategies to improve business performance, working with portfolio companies on projects related to Pricing, Go-to-Market, Change Management, etc.
  • Innovation and Applied AI: Promote innovation by developing frameworks and prototypes to leverage AI for process and business model reinvention.
  • Reporting and Dashboarding: Create reports and dashboards for executive decision-making.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis independently to formulate strategies.
  • Synthesize insights from data to inform decisions.
  • Develop and present reusable data assets to promote thought leadership.
  • Partner with leaders on strategic planning and long-term strategy development.
  • Collaborate with Finance, M&A, and portfolio teams for research and analysis.
  • Assess organic growth opportunities and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Undertake special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, philosophy, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar roles, with experience in AI/software advantageous.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI a plus), Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of business financials and operations.
  • Ability to build relationships at the executive level.
  • Skilled in trend analysis and creating engaging presentations for executives.
  • Excellent project management, communication skills, and a self-starter attitude.
  • Curious, passionate about learning, and creative problem-solver.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and willing to travel occasionally (<20%).
