Lighting Specialist - Contractor Sales Representatives

Partner with contractors to understand their needs and assist in planning construction projects. As knowledgeable sales professionals, contractor sales representatives can make recommendations that solve customers’ problems.

Responsibilities
  1. Drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
  2. Clarify and understand customers’ needs and recommend the best solutions for their projects.
  3. Expand the geographic sales area by building new relationships with contractors and strengthening existing accounts.
  4. Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
  5. Prepare estimates and material lists; follow up on deliveries.
  6. Take initiative and confidently manage customer interactions.
  7. Stay updated on the latest product trends and market conditions.
  8. Maintain high standards of safety and customer service.
  9. Resolve customer challenges efficiently and promptly.
  10. Provide customers with an exceptional experience.
Qualifications
  • A strong foundation in sales and customer service.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and achieve sales objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites; valid driver’s license required.
  • Knowledge of building materials and the construction process is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
