Senior Security Architect, Pre-Sales (Quebec)

Join Proofpoint as a Senior Security Architect, Pre-Sales, working with Enterprise accounts in Quebec or Ontario, and willing to travel up to 50% within Canada.

Role Overview

Our Pre-Sales Security Architecture team is a vital part of our sales process. As a Senior Security Architect, you will be a trusted advisor to customers and account managers, delivering People-Centric security solutions that address current cyber threats. You will develop compelling narratives, conduct product demonstrations, whiteboarding, training, Proof-of-Concepts, and evaluations, all while representing Proofpoint’s portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the technical aspect of the sales process, collaborating with sales teams to develop strategies.
2. Build trust with customers and serve as their main technical contact.
3. Deliver engaging product demonstrations tailored to addressing cyber threats.
4. Engage in technical discovery, planning, and execution of Proof-of-Concept and production evaluations.
5. Design and promote complex People-Centric Security solutions across the Proofpoint portfolio.
6. Assist in professional services, technical training, and industry events as needed.
7. Provide customer insights to Product Management and Engineering teams.
8. Become an expert in Email Security Gateways, Threat Protection, DLP, and related areas.
9. Mentor new team members and develop training materials.
10. Contribute to internal documentation and process improvements.

Qualifications

1. 6+ years of technical experience in cybersecurity roles such as Security Engineer, Architect, or similar.
2. Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships, especially with large enterprise clients.
3. Experience with enterprise or cloud security, including SaaS, email security, and network security.
4. Strong presentation skills, capable of engaging technical and executive audiences.
5. Knowledge of security frameworks like MITRE or NIST is a plus.
6. Relevant certifications such as CISSP are valued.
7. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
