Job description

Job Title: Events Assistant at Sun Peaks Resort

Are you passionate about outdoor events and eager to bring exciting mountain experiences to life? Sun Peaks Resort is seeking a highly motivated Events Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of various mountain events. Your responsibilities will include assisting with event logistics, equipment setup and teardown, ensuring health and safety protocols, managing volunteer recruitment and scheduling, and maintaining event supplies and infrastructure. You will act as a liaison between Sun Peaks and third-party event partners, collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution. Compensation and Physical Requirements
  • Salary: $50,000 per annum
  • Physical Demands: Heavy lifting up to 35kg; outdoor and indoor work environments
  • This position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Working knowledge of Sun Peaks Ski Trails
  • Intermediate or above skiing or snowboarding skills
  • Experience operating snowmobiles, ATVs, and hauling trailers
  • Previous outdoor event coordination experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Organized, efficient, and dependable
  • Ability to create and maintain a sense of urgency
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and producing mountain events
  • Ensure health and safety compliance during event activations
  • Set up and tear down event equipment and infrastructure
  • Coordinate with internal departments for planning and execution
  • Maintain and inventory event supplies and infrastructure
  • Execute various event tactics as required
