Job Description
- The purpose of this role is to project manage medium – large scale projects throughout the project life cycle, and act as the liaison between business and IS for IS-related projects.
- This role actively participates as part of the Business Readiness and Project Support team to support project delivery for key USUI workstreams and functions.
- This role identifies interdependencies with other projects, helps mitigate collisions between key project activities, and ensures risks are understood and mitigated.
- The role is accountable for Project Management, Employee Engagement (Change Management), and Facilitation for identified priority projects.
Client and Contract Details
Airswift is working with a major client in the Oil & Gas industry to find a Sr Advisor - Project Manager to join their team in North York, ON. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of a project including scope definition, cost / benefit analysis, design, testing, training, implementation, and support.
- Manage the project within prescribed deadlines and budgets, supporting execution of project plan activities with stakeholders.
- Ensure understanding of Business Readiness stage gate deliverables.
- Coordinate change management and employee engagement activities to ensure positive system implementation, business process redesign, and training.
- Keep management informed of project status through ongoing contact, communication, and presentations.
- Act as an internal project resource on other company or corporate projects, providing business process knowledge, facilitation, leadership, and system development experience.
Scope and Requirements
- Manage risk, resolve issues, and escalate as needed.
- Engage business subject matter experts for decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma, or relevant work experience.
- Minimum eight (8) years project management experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of project management methodology.
- Experience with change management and influencing skills.
- Facilitation experience (session design and delivery).
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Operational experience preferred.
Working Conditions
- Office environment with a hybrid work model : Mon / Tues / Thurs in-office, Wed / Fri remote.
