Job description

We are looking for a Valve Technician to join our Brantford team!

As our Valve Technician, you will be responsible for picking, assembling, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping pressure relief valves to meet safety, production, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with machine shop experience to progress within a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment focused on quality and teamwork.

Your Challenge
  • Work in compliance with mandatory Health & Safety requirements to minimize hazards and dangers in an industrial workplace, following OHSA and company policies.
  • Support lean initiatives, goals, and projects as directed by your supervisor.
  • Complete picking, assembly, testing, painting, flattening, and packaging of parts and valves, meeting safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Follow company policies, safety rules, and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Perform assembly and testing operations per written procedures and work instructions.
  • Obtain training and certification as a valve tester (advanced function).
  • Train and qualify as an ASME B&PV Section IX welder.
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of experience in assembly or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read measuring equipment (0-6” calipers, 0-1” micrometers).
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and standard work instructions.
  • Experience assembling small components with lightweight hand tools.
  • Ability to interpret job documentation and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment on your feet throughout the day.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team.
