Job Description

This leadership role is based with our Shared Services team in Saint John, New Brunswick, and works closely with all stakeholders to drive organizational value, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, leading a team of Accounts Payable specialists.

Reporting to, and in collaboration with the Accounts Payable Manager, the top priority and responsibility of this role is to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Accounts Payable functions through:

Responsibilities
  1. Leading the Accounts Payable team and oversight of Accounts Payable functions
  2. Working with the Shared Services team and others to ensure accuracy and compliance of invoices and processing payments
  3. Liaising with operational and financial personnel at various levels, reporting on Accounts Payable activities
  4. Reviewing invoice processing and daily key performance indicators
  5. Preparing reports on invoices for the Shared Services companies
  6. Participating in Shared Services continuous improvement and process enhancement projects
  7. Supporting the implementation of new Accounts Payable systems
  8. Addressing inquiries via ERP systems and email
  9. Ensuring compliance with internal controls
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related field
  3. Highly self-motivated, curious, and solutions-focused
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. Continuous improvement mindset
  6. Previous team leadership experience with a proven track record of coaching and team development
  7. High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and career growth
