Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or review journal entries, payment reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, and internal reports.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and Statistics Canada reporting.
- Prepare financial information including trial balances, bank reporting, financial statements, and write reports.
- Reconcile financial data and audit report data; act as a planning resource for the budgeting process.
- Ensure the organization complies with financial regulations and tax laws; participate in audits as required.
- Ensure team deliverables are completed accurately and on time; reinforce best practices and promote an innovative and collaborative work environment.
Successful candidates will have:
- 5+ years of accounting experience; or 2+ years of public accounting experience is an asset.
- Extensive experience in auditing financial records, identifying potential areas of opportunity and risk.
- Professional designation (CPA) or working towards CPA designation.
- Demonstrated organizational adaptability and respect for confidentiality.
- Proven ability to work with high-volume, complex transactions.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and a solution-oriented mindset.
