Bilingual Junior Accountant

We are currently seeking a qualified Bilingual Junior Accountant to join our team.

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Description

In this role, you will assist more senior accountants with the day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations. You will also assist in maintaining sub-ledgers, participate in the preparation of financial reports, and support quarterly and year-end audit schedules.

Responsibilities

1. Post and process journal entries to record all business transactions.
2. Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
3. Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
4. Reclassify expenses between prepaid expenses and other expenses.
5. Reconcile various accounts.
6. Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company standards.
7. Review expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned.
8. Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability.
9. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
10. Assist senior accountants with monthly and yearly closings.
11. Support other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications
