Job summary

A leading company in Ontario is seeking a bilingual supervisor to manage client relationships and oversee staffing at their distribution centre. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in recruitment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include ensuring safety protocols, tracking metrics, and resolving conflicts among team members. This role is crucial for maintaining high customer satisfaction and adapting to industry changes.

Job description

Hours : Monday to Saturday, 7 hour shifts

  • Build and maintain relationships with key client / management figures to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Understand client’s vision, business strategy and policies.
  • Make sure all safety and health protocols are in place, followed and updated.
  • Screen, recruit and onboard new team members to their specified role.
  • Understand the different components / areas of distribution centre to ensure quality.
  • Tracking and maintaining metrics such as attendance, productivity, attrition and payroll.
  • Maintain relationship with staff / associates on a daily basis. Be approachable to their needs.
  • Understand training & SOPs of certain job roles.
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalating issues between team members and client.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry changes in terms of recruitment; preparing for market peak.
  • Develop plans and strategies to efficiently manage sudden changes in staffing, safety and productivity.

Experience / Requirements :

  • Must be bilingual in French and English
  • Must have supervisory experience.
  • Must have strong leadership skills, be able to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word; especially Excel.
  • Experience working at a distribution centre.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Experience with following strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Recruitment and staffing experience an asset.
