UpTown! at SECPA is a dance studio located in Fort McMurray, Alberta, offering affordable and accessible dance classes for all ages. We are seeking qualified dance instructors experienced in teaching Hip Hop, Creative Movement, KinderCombo, and Jr. Jazz / Tap.

• Location : UpTown! at SECPA
• Hours / Week : 5-20 hours
• Contract : September 1, 2025 – August 2026
• Duration : 12 months

Qualifications

• Accredited Dance Teaching Certification (e.g., R.A.D., S.R.B., C.D.T.A., I.S.T.D.) or practical teaching experience
• Degree or Diploma in Post-Secondary Dance (asset)
• Ability to create and follow class plans
• Ability to mentor dance assistants
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Experience as a choreographer or competition judge (asset)

Responsibilities

• Select music and choreograph for performances

• Maintain a positive and healthy classroom environment
• Provide annual progress reports
• Submit statistical data as needed
