Job details
Pay: $18–$22 an hour

Benefits: Flexible schedule

Responsibilities:

  1. Handling and round pen training young horses; ground work, halter breaking, and saddling
  2. Assist with hoof trimming and horse shoeing
  3. Assist with guided trail rides

Requirements:

  1. 2+ years of experience starting colts and working with young horses
  2. Strong knowledge of horse behaviour, psychology, and training methods
  3. Experience with ranch work, including fencing, equipment maintenance, and other tasks
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, work in extreme weather conditions, and perform manual labour

Qualifications:

  1. Previous colt starting and horse training experience, references required
  2. First aid and CPR certification
  3. Alberta Driver's License
  4. Hinton Alberta Area Resident

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
