Job Description

Our client is a leading manufacturer of adhesives, supplying high-quality adhesives to customers worldwide, assisting customers with their specific bonding and sealing requirements. They are seeking a Chemist or Engineer to provide Technical Support to customers in the UK and Europe. This is a site-based role, and candidates need to be located within commuting distance from their site. This role is suitable for either a chemist or an engineer who can communicate confidently with customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide extensive technical support to UK & European distributor networks via phone, email, and in person, including visiting distributors, training staff, and attending joint customer visits.
2. Manage technical service projects and develop/support technical data, including testing programs.
3. Maintain and populate the central knowledge database for product and application information.
4. Update, populate, and maintain the master data file.
5. Be available for site visits to support sales staff technically.
6. Manage the technical helpline and support inbox.
7. Update CRM database, forward sales leads to relevant salespeople and distributors.
8. Prepare presentations and materials.
9. Host webinars, training sessions, and demonstrations.
10. Handle product quality complaints.
11. Attend exhibitions.
12. Assist in promotional video filming activities.
13. Create and control technical datasheets.
14. Write technical articles and product PR in collaboration with the marketing department.
15. Create technical content for blogs, brochures, and distributor websites.
16. Support marketing activities through case studies, application profiles, and sales tools.
17. Identify and attend relevant conferences and exhibitions.
18. Identify and attend relevant training courses to enhance skills.

Candidate Profile:

• Full driving license.
• Ability to work independently with weekly supervision.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and Europe.
