As a Natural Gas Trader, you will be an integral part of our Natural Gas Supply & Trading team supporting the Refining & Supply Operations. The Natural Gas Team monitors supply and demand trends, ensures product availability, and maximizes returns. The trader executes physical trades, develops trading strategies in compliance with company policies, analyzes market conditions, and manages scheduling duties across North American pipelines.

Your Responsibilities :
- Execute daily spot, monthly & term trades per company policies
- Evaluate and respond to RFP opportunities
- Understand natural gas usage across business units and related issues
- Negotiate NAESB contracts and engage internal stakeholders for terms verification
- Negotiate contract terms for buy/sell agreements
- Participate in pipeline contract negotiations and execute service agreements
- Support development and execution of trading and scheduling strategies
- Perform on-call trading and scheduling duties
- Analyze market data to inform trading strategies
- Develop and implement strategies for economic optimization
- Identify opportunities for seasonal and long-term planning
- Respond to maintenance and turnaround activities with strategic adjustments
- Support risk management with analyses for hedging strategies
- Grow the business by identifying new opportunities and customers
- Maintain relationships with counterparties and brokers
- Present strategies and performance to senior management
- Collaborate with internal teams and ensure deliverables are met
- Stay informed on market trends, regulations, and contracts
- Work with the Energy Transition team on RNG integration
Your Skills :
- Strong analytical skills and stakeholder relationship management
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Your Experience :
- Post-secondary education in relevant disciplines or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years related experience, energy market analysis preferred
- Experience in natural gas trading and scheduling is advantageous
- Supply chain management experience
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Entrepreneurial mindset with negotiation and problem-solving skills
