Job description

Arobas Personnel is looking for a Back-End Developer for a contract position with one of our clients located in Montreal.

*Remote : Hybrid- 40%*

What will your day-to-day look like?

• MS SQL Expertise: Design, manage, and optimize relational databases using MS SQL Server.
• Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services): Build robust data integration solutions including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Java Development: Build and maintain powerful back-end applications in Java, ideally with Spring framework.
• API Development: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between systems and services.
• PowerShell & Python Scripting: Automate administrative and system tasks using PowerShell and Python.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Ansible and/or Terraform to manage infrastructure efficiently and reproducibly.
• CI/CD & AWS: Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support efficient cloud deployments.

What are we looking for?

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Solid grasp of software engineering principles and object-oriented development.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, Java, and PowerShell.
• Experience working with modern software ecosystems: domain-driven design, microservices, API architecture, cloud platforms, real-time data streams, and API/microservices orchestration.
• Familiarity with agile development tools and DevOps platforms: Jenkins, Git (Bitbucket/GitHub), Nexus, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
