Additional Information

• Candidates must be members in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified before the start date, and must have completed or be enrolled in French as a Second Language (FSL) or an equivalent qualification based on OCT standards.
• External candidates will need to provide at least three professional, supervisory teaching references, including full name, position, work location, and email address. References are not contacted before the interview.
• Internal candidates should include all relevant teaching experiences and two references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
• This is a French Core position; candidates must meet the Board's language standards for French Core.
• All applicants must provide a satisfactory police record check, including a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), completed within six months prior to the start date, and based on your home address in Canada.

Examples of References

• Principal/Vice-Principal who supervised you and can speak to your teaching practice;
• Faculty/Practicum Advisor who observed and evaluated your teaching;
• Mentor Teacher in elementary/secondary settings;
• Other professional references attesting to your teaching practice.
