Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education (AVRCE) is hiring an Educational Assistant for Middleton Regional High School on a term basis ending December 21, 2026.

The role supports students with medical/personal care and safety needs, following program plans and board policies. It offers wage levels of $26.99/hr for Fully Qualified and $19.38/hr for Partially Qualified, with recall/layoff conditions.

Qualifications

• Human Services diploma or equivalent post-secondary training and experience.
• Health-care support training or certifications as required.
• CPR/First Aid training current.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and mobility assistance for students.
• Safety and behaviour support following plans and PEBS guidelines.
• Transporting students by bus, taxi or private vehicle as needed.
• Maintain positive rapport and supervise students during breaks and transit.
• Record data and observations as directed.
