Qualifications

• Requires OSSD plus two years of specialized training in EA related programs.
• Knowledge of board policies and directives such as medication administration.
• Ability to operate AV and office equipment including Google Suite and projectors.
• Experience with mobility aids and assisting with physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with students, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation and tracking of instructional programs.
• Prepare instructional materials and equipment as directed.
• Assist students with hygienic and personal care needs.
• Administer medication per board policy and regulations.
• Support occupational, physio, speech and other therapies as directed.
• Follow IEPs, Co-op Education, safety programs and related tasks.
• Supervise in-school and out-of-school student activities.
• Participate in IPRC meetings and case conferences when required.
• Assist with loading/unloading buses and transportation supervision as needed.
