Job summary

St. Clement's School is seeking an Educational Assistant for a 1.0 FTE permanent full-time position (35 hours per week) in Barrie, Ontario.

The EA will support students across academic, behavioral, social, and life skills areas as part of a multidisciplinary team, in a safe and inclusive learning environment. The role involves assisting students with daily living activities as needed, rotating through Grade groups and classrooms.

Qualifications

• A relevant university degree, or a two-year college diploma in a human services field.
• BMS training and strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Duties may include assisting students with toileting, lifting, and mobility as required.

Responsibilities

• Support students to achieve success in academic, behavior, social, life skills and co-op situations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Rotate through different groups and grade levels as required.
