Job summary

The Simcoe County District School Board invites applications for Educational Assistant 0.2 FTE temporary part‑time role (Wednesdays, 7 hours/week). EA positions support students across academics, behavior, social and life skills within a multidisciplinary team to foster safe, inclusive learning.

Requirements include a relevant university degree or a two‑year college diploma in human services, plus Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training, excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant university degree or two-year college diploma in human services, ABA-related fields, or Ontario teaching certificate.
• Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training is required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities; ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support students to achieve success in academics, behavior, social, life skills and co‑op situations.
• Assist with daily activities including mobility and positioning as needed.
• Work across multiple grade levels and rotate through the school to meet student needs.
