Job summary

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students within a team-based planning environment in Grande Prairie, AB. The role involves assisting with programs and providing feedback to teachers, while working with groups and individuals to reinforce learning.

Ideal candidates will have an Educational Assistant certificate/diploma, be comfortable assisting with feeding and personal care for students with special needs, and be fluent in French.

Qualifications

• Able to establish rapport with students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
• Knowledge of behavior management and positive reinforcement.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in French.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and meet with the school planning team to implement programs and materials.
• Provide feedback to the supervising Teacher based on observations.
• Assist with large group activities and work with small groups or individual students.
