Job summary

Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for an Educational Assistant at Cold Lake Elementary School. The position is full-time (1.0 FTE) and begins as soon as possible, supporting students with social, behavioural, self-help and personal care needs.

Located in Alberta's Lakeland region, Cold Lake Elementary serves PreK–3 with about 350 students. Applicants with related post-secondary training and experience, and those familiar with Individual Program Plans, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training or experience as an Educational Assistant is preferred.
• Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers is desirable.
• Experience with alternate communication strategies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with student educational program needs, including social and behaviour skills.
• Support self-help and personal care needs as part of daily activities.
• Work collaboratively within a team to implement Individual Program Plans.
