Job summary

Chinook School Division #211 is seeking an Educational Assistant at Herbert School to support students in one-on-one and classroom settings. This permanent part-time position is 0.955 FTE (28.65 hours per week).

Start date: as soon as possible. Qualifications include an Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience; ability to work with young students; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

• Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience.
• Ability to work with students in one-on-one and classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with a student's educational program.

• Based on needs of individual students, provide individual students with assistance in speech, motor, and language development and social and life skills.
• Work as part of a team in development and implementation of Individual Improvement Plan.
• May involve some lifts and transfers.
• Other duties as assigned.
