Job summary

Birch Meadows Colony School, part of Peace Wapiti Public School Division, is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistant (30 hours/week). The role supports the certificated teacher in a student-focused setting and requires collaboration with staff to ensure a positive learning environment.

A current Criminal Record Check is required; salary is $21.28/hour to $28.02/hour with benefits. Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably an Educational Assistant Diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Educational Assistant Diploma preferred.
• CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset.
• Experience working with children in classroom/organized settings preferred.
• You have the ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks and assist with personal care.
• You are able to meet outside of school hours and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the certificated teacher in daily classroom activities.
• Assist students with personal care and behavior management as directed.
• Contribute to classroom routines, supervision, and safety.
