Qualifications

• Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate is required.
• Experience supporting students with Autism or behavioural needs.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Training or experience in behaviour support, TCIS, developmental and emotional regulation strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector check.
• Flexible, patient, and student-centred approach.
• Equivalencies combining education, knowledge, and experience may be considered.

Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Part-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2 for a work assignment at Guthrie.

As an Educational Assistant, you play an important role in helping students access learning, build confidence, and experience success in the classroom. Through collaboration, encouragement, and individualised support, you help create inclusive learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their potential.

Located on CFB Edmonton Garrison military base, Guthrie School is just minutes north of Edmonton and St. Albert. With approximately 255 students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 and 30 dedicated staff, Guthrie fosters critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving while giving students the skills and knowledge to reach their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing
