Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking twoFull-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2 for a work assignment at Lilian Schick .

Every student learns differently and deserves the support they need to thrive. As an Educational Assistant, you play an important role in helping students access learning, build confidence, and experience success in the classroom. Through collaboration, encouragement, and individualised support, you help create inclusive learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their potential.

Located in the Town of Bon Accord, Lilian Schick School serves approximately 240 students in Grades 5–9. With strong academics, non-denominational Christian faith-based LOGOS programming, and a focus on student well-being, the school provides opportunities for students to learn, grow, make healthy choices, and achieve their goals.

What You'll Be Doing

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will:

• Support students across a range of grades and learning needs
• Assist with academic, social, and behavioural development
• Provide individualised and small-group support as needed
• Contribute to a caring, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning environment
• Collaborate with school staff to promote student success and well-being

What You Bring

• Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate
• Experience supporting students with Autism or behavioural needs
• CPR and First Aid
• Training or experience in behaviour support, TCIS, developmental and emotional regulation strategies
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Flexibility, patience, and a student-centred approach
• Equivalencies combining education, knowledge, and experience may be considered
• Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector check
