Job summary

Gwich'in Tribal Council invites applications for an Education & Training Support Coordinator to oversee the Gwich’in Student Wellness Program and support students pursuing post-secondary education or training in Inuvik. This role requires collaboration with post-secondary institutions across the NWT and Canada to promote wellness resources.

You will facilitate culturally relevant wellness information, coordinate visits, and maintain confidential records, while traveling as needed to support

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in career development or related areas is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the Gwich’in Student Wellness Program and support students pursuing post-secondary education or training.
• Provide information on wellness supports, accommodations, and resources through presentations, workshops, and materials.
• Support individuals and families in understanding wellness needs during educational programming.
• Collaborate with post-secondary institutions across the NWT and Canada to identify and promote student wellness resources.
• Coordinate onsite visits to post-secondary institutions and develop resource networks.
• Participate in career fairs, school orientations, and information sessions.
• Maintain confidential records and secure information systems.
• Travel as needed, including by small planes and ice roads.
