Job summary

M'Chigeeng First Nation is seeking a Staff Trainer within the Health and Wellness Department to develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs that build staff capacity and support community health goals.

The role requires designing annual training plans, managing budgets, and tracking outcomes while embedding Anishnabek cultural values throughout curriculum and delivery. Evening/weekend sessions and occasional travel may be required to serve the community.

Qualifications

Health professional registered or eligible with a relevant college.
Degree or diploma in Education, Human Resources, Social Services, or Health.
Experience in training delivery or curriculum development.
Experience in First Nation communities is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital training tools.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver training programs across the Health and Wellness Department.
Participate in external training opportunities and act as train-the-trainer.
Develop annual training plans and align with departmental goals.
Coordinate training schedules, venues, registration, and communications.
Maintain training records and certification tracking.
Monitor training outcomes and prepare reports for the Director.
Assist with onboarding and staff development.
