The Kativik Regional Government (KRG) invites applications for a permanent, full-time School Perseverance Officer – ESUMA position based in Kuujjuaq. The role reports to the ESUMA Coordinator within the Sustainable Employment Department to promote school perseverance and educational success through community collaboration.

The officer will organize local meetings, support project development, link schools with families and communities, and monitor progress to ensure positive outcomes for

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in communication, education, or related field.
• 2 years relevant experience.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote region.
• Two of: Inuktitut, English, French.
• Willingness to travel within Nunavik.

Responsibilities

• Raise awareness and collaborate with actors influencing perseverance and educational success.
• Organize local meetings to implement actions provided for in the plan.
• Support local stakeholders in project development.
• Make recommendations and ensure administrative follow-ups of projects.
• Create links with communities to promote educational partnerships.
• Support schools in planning, development and evaluation of projects.
• Participate in organization of school network activities with partners.
• Support mobilization stages leading to action plan development.
• Carry out related tasks as requested.
