Traditional Learning Academy Online is seeking Educational Assistants to support students in individualized learning programs, both online and in our therapeutic centre.

As part of a collaborative team with children, families, and TLA staff, EAs work one-on-one or in small groups under an IE Teacher, helping students reach IEP and curricular goals while tracking progress and maintaining records.

Qualifikationen

• A certificate from a recognized post-secondary college (Special Education Teaching Assistant or equivalent).
• Proven background in supporting students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
• Proficiency in Gmail, Google Drive, and video conferencing.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills and a commitment to inclusive education.
• A valid Ministry of Justice criminal record check.

Traditional Learning Academy Online is currently recruiting Educational Assistants (EAs) to support students in our individualized learning programs. This role offers the opportunity to work one-on-one or in small groups with students engaged in online and therapeutic center-based learning environments. EAs are vital members of a collaborative team that includes children, families, and TLA school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Inclusive Education (IE) Teacher, the Educational Assistant (EA) will support student development through the following duties:

• Therapeutic Centre Environment: Assist students within the therapeutic centre on both IEP and curricular goals.

• Instructional Support: Support student access to teacher directed teaching materials, compile and update student records, and monitor student behaviour.

• Collaboration: Work closely with TLA teachers and families to provide individualized support tailored to the student's goals.

• Qualifications Required:

• A certificate from a recognized post-secondary college (Special Education Teaching Assistant or equivalent).

• Proven background in supporting students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.

• Proficiency in computer tools including Gmail, Google Drive, and video conferencing.

• Strong written and oral English communication skills and a commitment to inclusive education.

• A valid Ministry of Justice criminal record check.
