A leading educational institution is seeking Certified Education Assistants to support students with special needs. The role involves collaboration with teachers to implement educational programs, ensuring student safety and comfort. Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and relevant certifications. This position is casual and requires flexibility in working hours.
There are positions available for Certified Education Assistants with School District No. 60. Applications must be completed online and will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the positions are filled.
Reporting to the site Administrative Officer(s), this position involves working under the direction of classroom teachers and district personnel to provide care for students (training provided by medical personnel when required).
This role requires collaboration within a team to support the delivery of educational programs and services, focusing on the integration, growth, learning, safety, and comfort of students with various educational, emotional, and behavioral needs. The successful candidate will work with students with special needs, including those with learning disabilities, on modified or alternate programs, primarily in a classroom setting, and may provide pull-out support for individuals or small groups.

Ten (10) months per year
$25.19 - $30.17 per hour, based on certification
