Job summary

Saanich Schools invites applications for a part-time daytime role supporting students within a safe and nurturing learning environment. The district serves about 8,000 students across 18 schools and employs over 1,300 staff who help turn dreams into educational realities.

The current shift runs 8:40am–2:40pm, Monday to Friday, for 10 months of the year while classes are in session. The position may include crossing guard training and collaboration time per the district agreement.

Responsibilities

• Current Shift: 8:40am-2:40pm, Monday to Friday.
• Start & end times may shift slightly based on the needs of the school.
• Includes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch.
• 10 months per year while regular classes are in session.
• End Date: March 12, 2027, or return of incumbent, whichever comes first.
• This position is entitled to collaboration time as outlined in the 2022-2025 Letter of Understanding - Support Staff Learning Improvement Fund.
• Successful candidate may receive Crossing Guard training in order to fill in when necessary

Pay Rate

$30.20(any continuing employee awarded a temporary position will receive the continuing rate of pay for the position)

End Date

March 12, 2027, or return of incumbent, whichever comes first
