Job summary

School District 57 (Prince George) is seeking an Education Assistant 2 for 27.75 hours per week to support individual and small-group learning under teacher direction. You will assist with academic and behavioral plans, supervise during breaks, and help with materials and classroom activities.

Responsibilities include health procedures, medication administration as assigned, progress observations, and collaboration with families and staff to support student success in a dynamic school

Qualifications

• Grade twelve education or equivalent required.
• Six college/university level courses related to learning/behavioral issues.
• One year of related experience with children/youth with exceptional needs.
• Ability to perform behavior management and operate school equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with small groups or individuals per education plan.
• Monitor and assist during unstructured times (recess, lunch, etc.).
• Perform health procedures and medication administration as assigned.
• Prepare instructional materials and note-taking (scribe).
• Observe, record, and report student progress and safety concerns.
• Assist with field trips, activities, and supervision duties.
• Communicate with parents and participate in conferences as directed.
• Support independence and life skills development for students.
