HAIDA GWAII BOARD OF EDUCATION SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 50 is seeking a Regular Education Assistant to support students and prepare teaching materials. The role reports to the Principal and collaborates with individual teachers to implement instructional plans.
The position requires Grade 12 with Special Education training, 6 months to 1 year of related experience, and knowledge of Indigenous culture. 20 hours per week with competitive hourly pay and potential certification premium.

SALARY: $34.74 per hour, plus a certification premium of $1.00 when applicable
HOURS OF WORK: Twenty (20) hours per week
The Education Assistant performs a variety of duties related to working with students and the preparation of teaching materials. This position works under the supervision of the Principal and will in the course of duties take direction from individual teachers.
