Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking security guards for concert events in Edmonton. Responsibilities include safeguarding people and property, conducting bag checks and wanding, and controlling access at event sites.

Candidates should hold an Alberta Security License, have open availability for evenings and weekends, and be able to work in all weather. Training is provided, and per-hour compensation is $18.50. The role supports major events in the Edmonton area.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Alberta Security License.
• Event Security Experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must have Open Availability, especially available during the evening and weekends as most events are.
• Must have or be able to complete AGLC certification of Protect and Preserve
• Must be able to work in all-weather as most events are outside in all types of weather conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the site or be able to utilize public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Observes and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, its assets, and personnel.
• Perform Security Checks using systems such as EVOLV system, including Bag Search, pat downs, and Wanding protocols.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client sites or facility through the admittance process including Verifying Government ID.
• Satisfy client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client's property and assets.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
