Job summary

Scilltech Professional Services is hiring an Edge Bander Operator for a solid furniture manufacturing facility in Scarborough, Ontario. The role requires hands-on experience with edge-banding machinery, setup, adjustments, material handling, and quality control to ensure precise finishes.

You will work with MDF, particleboard, laminates and veneers, perform routine maintenance, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an edge-banding machine.
• 3–5 years in furniture manufacturing or cabinetry is preferred.
• Experience with IMA Novimat Concept machinery is a strong asset.
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret production drawings and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate edge-banding equipment, preferably the IMA Novimat Concept.
• Adjust machine settings, glue application, feed speeds, and trimming operations.
• Work with MDF, particleboard, laminate, PVC, ABS, and wood veneer.

Pay Rate: $22.50–$25.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Work Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 7:25 AM – 4:25 PM
• Friday: 7:25 AM – 1:25 PM
