The Role:
The Systems Analyst’s role is to work closely with key business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and testers to ensure the overall successful delivery of solutions to work within the Clinic and Corporation Application Team. The ideal candidate will focus on designing new technical features and implementing systems to meet business requirements, while also supporting existing production capabilities. The candidate can also expect to participate in defining user stories, business process change management, incident management, root-cause analysis, and post-implementation support.
Individuals that demonstrate strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and take accountability and ownership of tasks will be a great fit for the team and position.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including business end users and upstream/downstream technology groups to gather comprehensive requirements related to projects, enhancement requests and problems.
Work with clinic, back-office, and business leadership to set the near- and long-term roadmaps for Clinic and Corporate applications.
Acting as liaison between business and development teams, participate in all aspects of development life cycle (scope and requirements, technical design, testing/QA, implementation and support).
Turn business requirements into technical specifications and other technical documentation (e.g. object diagrams, data transformation, design and operational support documents).
Work closely with internal development resources as well as third-party EMR vendor contacts to design and test creative and efficient solutions.
Complete functional and technical requests as well as bug investigations and ad hoc work efforts using a variety of tools including JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
Actively participate in improving team processes and workflows, with emphasis on knowledge retention, consistent documentation and intra / inter-team cooperation.
Assist in the organization and delivery of user acceptance testing and training before application deployments.
Create desk procedures and training material for client-facing and business users.
What You'll Need:
College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, information systems or finance.
Three to five years’ related work experience.
Previous experience using Accuro or similar EMR systems
Knowledge in any Finance and HR applications, Workday is a nice to have
Exposure to Salesforce is an asset
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
Ability to oversee the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
Strong technical skills, including experience with databases and SQL, APIs, and web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Additionally, experience with data integration and migration is highly desirable.
Experience transitioning from legacy systems to new cloud-based systems.
Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to systems issues and products as required.
Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated customer-service mindset.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
This is a full-time, 12-month contract position working 40 hours per week based on business needs between regular office hours Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. Our downtown Toronto office is conveniently located at 150 York St., which is nearby St. Andrew station or a 10-minute walk from Union Station!
