Pastor of Discipleship

Faith River Christian Fellowship (Saskatoon, SK) seeks a Spirit-filled Pastor of Discipleship with a passion to see people grow in faith and maturity, particularly in the areas of youth and worship ministries. The Pastor of Discipleship will align with and uphold Faith River’s mission: To be and make disciples of Jesus Christ by receiving, proclaiming, and sharing God’s love.

We seek someone who has a heart for mentoring and discipling young people, to guide them in integrating faith into their lives.

Our congregation has many young families who attend; approximately one-third of our regular attenders are 14 or under. As these children grow, we want to be able to provide robust youth-focused programming, to encourage youth to mature in faith and love for Jesus. We desire to be a place where young people feel safe, loved, and encouraged to ask tough questions.

We also are looking for someone with a gift for leading people in worship through music during our Sunday services, as well as someone who can coordinate our worship ministry. We have many volunteers on our worship teams but require an additional leader who can provide oversight to the program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee youth ministry
• Organize and coordinate worship ministry
• Together with the Lead Pastor, coordinate and engage in discipleship ministries
• Engage in other pastoral duties like preaching and visitations

Qualifications:

• Living a Christ-centered life
• Bible college or undergraduate degree in ministry (minimum)
• Experience working with youth and leading worship an asset
• Credentialed (or willing to become credentialed) with the Canadian Conference of MB Churches
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Salary Range: in accordance with SKMB salary grid.
