Role Summary
GTT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights through the development of interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their reporting needs and contribute to data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Dashboard and Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
- DAX Development: Write and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) measures and calculated columns to implement complex business logic and calculations within Power BI.
- Data Extraction and Querying: Use custom SQL and Power Query (M language) within Power BI dataflows to extract, filter, and transform data from sources including PostgreSQL, Excel/CSV files from shared drives, and other structured data sources—ensuring performance, accuracy, and consistency throughout the data pipeline.
- Data Quality Assurance: Validate and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used in reports and dashboards by implementing data quality checks and controls.
- Requirements Gathering and Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders from departments such as Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, and Operations to understand reporting requirements and translate them into meaningful visualizations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation of data sources, data models, transformation logic, and reporting processes to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and best practices, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance existing reports and improve data workflows.
Required Experience/Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, calculated columns, and data modeling concepts.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data retrieval, filtering, and aggregation.
- Familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing principles.
- Working knowledge with of Power Query (M language) for transforming and shaping data within Power BI and dataflows.
Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for reporting solutions.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics) or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a data-related role or internship is preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification is a plus.
